![]() Has anyone else ever heard of something like this? Edited by School Of Hard Knock 18:44 but that remains to be seen with more use of the tractor. But it seemed to be ok after 20 minutes of working it.Imhopeing I got lucky and all is good. Now, I swapped it (oil ) to hy-guard and it remains to be seen if it really fixes the situation or not. At first I thought I ripped the driveshaft out or broke some gears out of the planetarys or maybe had a bearing go out and slosh around in the gears somewhere. Apparently the fiction discs on the limited slip react to Cenex oil and stuff gets jerky and binds weird. I changed the fluid to Cenex and the book calls for JD hy-guard.well I went to use it and it binds and jerks on every turn or maneuver other that strait forward and backward. This is a first for me.I am not totally sure yet, but I think I MAY HAVE learned today to not use Cenex green hydraulic fluid (forget what they call it ) in a FWA axle of a 6400 jd tractor.
